HERE IS WHAT I NEED:

If you plan on coming to either day, either send me a PM or post here your full name (along with anyone coming with you), and let me know which day (s) you are coming. This is important, because I am assuming that this will be how you get your discounted ticket, parade laps, and corral parking!!!

I have sent an e-mail to the SCCA person asking exactly what he needs and the process for us, so I will let you know as soon as I know something.

Remember this is just a couple of weeks away, so send me your information as soon as possible.
Something may have come up....will let you know ASAP. As of now, I am planning on attending, but I have to be tentative for now. Sorry

OK Dave looks like you have all the info that is current. We will be meeting early Friday morning and heading up. We should arrive sometime around 1pm depending on traffic. Look forward to meeting everyone and having a good time. Although Sunday will be rough for most of us, we are there to celebrate our friend and plan on having a great time.

As Doug says looks like you have the info you need from Jeff regarding the list etc - but if there's anything you need at all feel free to PM either Jeff or myself and we'll get back to you.

As Doug says we'll be there from Friday afternoon and we're all excited to get up there to make some new friends whilst at the same time remembering a very dear close friend - it's turning out that we'll have a lot of people there with us, but not actually many Camaros as most of our members/friends etc will be traveling up in alternative cars - still, looks like you have a very healthy list yourself - and at least the ones we are bringing will all be taking part in the PDX which should be fun! (sound rules permitting!)

Meet you all soon anyway!

Phill

update list

As of this am I have updated the list with all names provided so far. If you have not sent me your full name and says attending, please do so ASAP. I would like to send the list to SCCA this week.

The only way to get the discount rate/participate in the corral is if your name has been submitted on the list.

Thanks,

IMPORTANT UPDATE/INFORMATION!!!!

Here is the information that I received from the SCCA regarding prices, and buying tickets:

We are looking forward to having your clubs attend the ARRC at Road Atlanta in tribute to Phil Simms. We will provide you admission at the Car Club/SCCA rates.

The rates are:

$25 for the 3 day event
$20 for Saturday and Sunday
$15 for Saturday or Sunday
$10 for Friday

To qualify for this rate, you must provide me a list of names attending and then pay at the gate for the appropriate tickets ( there are no Advanced sales of tickets). Your members should identify themselves as members of the Camaro Club and the staff will process the tickets at the Car Club rate.
We will also invite your members to participate in the Track Tour, held on Saturday at the conclusion of the morning races during the lunch break. To participate they should assemble at the Track Tour assembly point and identify yourselves as members of the Camaro Club. While we are waiving the normal $20 contribution to the workers fund for the track tour, we would be grateful for any contribution any of your members are willing to make to the workers fund.

If any of your members are interested in running the PDX (Performance Driving EXperience) on Sunday during "quiet time" we would love to have them participate. The fee is $100 and for that they get 2 twenty minute run sessions on the Road Atlanta circuit. Details for the PDX can be found at: http://www.atlantascca.com/Files/2013-09-11-arrc-supplementals-pdx.pdf and ypu can sign up at the registration location outside of the track.

IMPORTANT UPDATE/INFORMATION PART II!!!!

Part II because I know how short your attention span is.

The general schedule is as follows:

SATURDAY:

Track tours (parade laps) 12:15 pm - 12:45 pm

Trans Am qualifying 1:00 pm

Meet and Greet with Cameron Lawrence TBA (after qualifying). He also plans on hanging out some at the corral.

Dinner for those interested

SUNDAY:

9:30 am - Noon PDX (for those interested and signed up)

1:00 pm Trans Am race

On both days there is racing before and after the above schedule, but I only put in the short version. I believe it starts at 8:00 am each day.

Before, during, and after we have the car corral with the Mid Florida group, so there will be a lot to do both days if you choose.

If you are interested in the PDX you must register through the SCCA website prior to the event. If you have any questions specific to the PDX, just let me know. I think only one person from our group has expressed interest to date.

I also plan on starting the day at the Cracker Barrel located at I-85 & Hwy 53 Saturday morning for anyone that is interested.

Not much more to update, but if something comes up I will post it.

Reminder to send me your name if you want to be included in the event, so that I can add you to the SCCA list. I will be sending the list the end of this week. Also I have to have you full name to provide to the SCCA, but if you don't want your name listed on the site, just let me know.

Going to be fun, so hope to see more people sign up.

David

Dave, are you doing the PDX? Since this is on Sunday morning, there are noise restrictions during this time, right? Might be the deciding factor for me. I have a new splitter ready to be torn off :-)
