Phoenix Gold Subs?
I recently contacted an audio store, and let them know I wanted to purchase and have them install a PG 10" sub, he said with the amp, sub, box, and install the total price was 1015 and some change! Is this accurate for one 10" subwoofer and all supporting mods? I feel like that is a MAJOR rip off. I called another shop and they told me if I get a box built for my car (I have a friend that makes them and I can get one way cheaper than what they want to charge) and use my Rockfard Fosgate 500 prime amp, and my amp kit, they can install a pair of RF P1's for 495. Does any of this information sound accurate I don't feel like I'm being treated fairly anywhere.

This is accurate. The pg sub and amp, or every audio package gm offers is vastly overpriced. For a cool grand, yo.u definitely can get more bang for your buck with other systems. Id definitely go with the RF if I were you
