ticking noise

I have a 2012 2ls so it is a lfx engine. Two and a half weeks ago I turned the car on for 3-4 minutes and then I heard a ticking noise coming from the back of the car. Then it got faster and it was continous so I turned the car off. Today I pulled over after 30 seconds of driving to get something out of the the other car and we heard the noise again. Is there a problem or is the car just cold? Anyone experience this?

Video w Audio would be good, start at the front of the Car and go to the Back.
Is it engine noise coming out of the exhaust ?

it sounds like it is coming from the back of the car so maybe the exhaust? When you start driving, it goes away.

Since I got mine about a month ago I've also heard somewhat of a ticking noise during idle. I've been trying to decide if its just a normal noise or if something is wrong. I'll try take a video when it stops raining here

I assumed it was heat expansion of exhaust or heat shield

Same here, ever since I got the car there has been a ticking noise at idle, it's a fast ticking noise though, but pretty noticeable at idle, and sometimes during acceleration, interested in seeing if anyone knows about this.

This. The sound you're hearing is the ticking of the injectors firing. Since DI fuel pressures at the injectors are very high (as in 10s of thousands of PSI) the solenoids that fire them are pretty beefy and they make noise.
