Buy a Camaro:Get a tax break...maybe

Obama noted that the economic stimulus legislation he recently signed allows the purchasers of new domestic cars to deduct the cost of any sales and excise taxes. Obama said this provision could “save families hundreds of dollars and lead to as many as 100,000 new car sales.”

My question - since the camaro is built in Canada is it "domestic"? If so, what is the definition of domestic - where it is built or if the company is located in the US?

I'll be looking for your Cyber Grey Metallic soon on the road. I almost went with that color. Now I'm trying to decide whether or not to get the Cyber Grey Metallic stripes. I think I might wait, and see how I like it without the stripes first. Then order them later and have my dealer install them if I decide to go that route.

Yep, those painted black wheels are awesome looking, but not in my budget. Maybe another add-on later.

No, if you itemize your taxes, the sales tax becomes a deduction- factor in your AGI and you may get 200-500 some dollars refunded/ put towards your tax bill

If its true, why cant they just take it off the car in the first place?
Kinda redundant, but I guess if they do it that way it looks like our government is actually doing something??

Well, talk about really looking for a silver lining in an otherwise very dark cloud.

Hey, it's better than nothing though!
