First week last Friday - 201 - 131 - 176 = 508. Started off well and then lost the lane and couldn't quite figure it out to my liking. Hoping for better tonight.

Looks like you're high man in the house. (the house being Camaro5 bowling. )

We start on Monday. I'm gonna tell you now. I have been accused of sandbagging.

I always have the pro shop guy sprinkle a little pixy dust on my new equipment. It helps a lot.

Keep at it. Once you get your approach and release down it's gonna get REALLY addicting.

We just finished the summer league on Monday. I averaged 190 for the first game 215 for the second game and 195 for the third game all summer. For an average right at 200.

So it takes me a while to get loose and get my ball up to speed and release consistantly smooth and then I'm ok, but I'm not a good enough bowler to adjust with the changing lanes.

Yea we started last week. Shot 700. Hey PQ watch how you throw that ball because it is almost a spinner going down the lane. Keep you hand a little more behind the ball.

That's the biggest thing is knowledge of the lanes. Watching and reading the oil break down and being able to Move ! I see more bowlers struggle with that than anything. I'm hard headed sometimes and think I can play that line instead of a ball change and or move my feet or target .
Still learning myself and no where close to the best bowlers in the house .
I'd love to have a 180-190's avg ! Taking a 200 or higher to tournaments is hard if its a handicap event .

It's the only way I know how to get the ball to slide on a real dry condition. Normally it's a 3/4 roll. But when they dry out I sweep around the ball a little higher and open my wrist a bit.

Nice. I haven't shot 300 in 16 years. lol

I've only been back bowling for about 7 years. One night a week and the previous nine years never went bowling even once. Shot my first 299 a couple years ago though. Got scared of the gutter and crossed over, weak brooklyn laft a 5.

I don't like tournaments anymore. I'm not good enough to have success in a scratch tourney and the handicapped tourneys are a joke. Always won by either a really good scratch team or a team with an inconsistent low average. The guys averaging right around 200 rarely win.

This past week was our nine pin no-tap night and as 200+ average bowlers, we have to shoot 780 or better. You have guys who play down and in and nine count all night long and shoot 800+ getting 140 pins handicap.

We should do it for real. Post our recaps and keep track. Maybe some video to help coach like Coop just did. Sometimes people can see things that we miss. Even on video.

Back in the mid 90s we took video of ourselves so we could see what we were doing. It helped me a ton. I am nothing like I was in the early vids.

I used to be good. But not for a long time now. Gotta bowl more than 3 games a week to be good. hahaha

That's all I have time for though. Just the one night.
