Whipple under stock hood?

I found a used Whipple 2.9 and Im interested but from some of my light reading noted that some seem to suggest it wont fit with the vent. Any insight on what can be done and expected cost associated with doing it? Im not interested in aftermarket style hoods at the moment and will probably go LSA if this option isn’t feasible or super costly just to fit.

I removed the drip tray and notched the vent to clear my Whipple.

I was hoping you would respond as your car was basically the only reference point I could find. When you say notched was this on the underside of the vents or did you have to cut parts of them off completely? Any pictures by chance?

Maybe you could just swap to a 2010-2013 stock hood? The cowl lines are a little bit different, but they don't have the hood vent that is causing the clearance issue. Just a thought. My understanding is that the hoods are interchangeable, but the cowl lines are different.

Have you got caught out in the rain? I guess I'd be a little concerned with water ingress especially while parked. Though I guess I'd question how effectively the plastice tray really is at diverting water.

I have a 13 with a whipple and it does fit, but is so close it compresses the insulator. I wish i had a vent for the heat.

This guy has a whipple with a custom vent mount. You lose the drip tray for sure.
