I specified dealers from this site as different because I was thinking of you, CamaroScotty. Not all dealers are true enthusiasts, and we are grateful to have one of the greats among us.

Well lets hope the SS/RS package is a little cheaper than that considering the SS already comes standard with most of what the RS package will get you in the V6 version.. My hope would be the SS manual is $28k msrp starting and $2k for the RS package.

if they expect to sell that many then they need to price this close to 20k for the LS. not dreaming just fact. looking at the price of the mustang all the added features won't cause someone to hop up and buy one of these over a mustang. . .

Its easy to figure out the production total for the year.

after ramp up which is usually a month. we can do anywhere from 400 to 500 cars per shift per day. 5 days a week and possibly 6 if saturday overtime is scheduled. so safe bet, 5 days a week, for 12 months, knock off the 2 week shutdown and week at xmas and a handful of long weekends and federal holidays. This is if we are not told to slow production or speed it up. Do the math, i can't wait till i see them rolling into my station everyday.

I will miss working on the GMT-900's more though, i had ALOT of fun in the truck plant and made ALOT of friends over there :(

If it is competing with the Mustang, consider the RS package closer to the Mustang Premium package.

I agree with your stripe and sunroof estimate, but I think the sound system will be less with such low wattage.

Are there 2 or 3 shifts? If 3, thats 1200 cars per day. If thats the case, you will pump out 50K cars by summer. Is that correct?

If production starts Feb 16 09 then maybe 10,000 will be on lots by April 1 09. 10,000 units in 50 states is 200 per state. Not that many.

Wait, Rhode Island gets as many cars as California and there are none for the rest of the world?

It works out to an average of about 1-2 Camaros per dealership in that time frame, given those production numbers. That's actually quite a few, I think. But there will be a waiting list for a while, we kinda knew that. But what would be worse: having so many Camaros that they rot on the lots for months, or not being able to produce enough of them to meet the demand?
