If the module is already installed in the car and the kit is to extend range, if i buy the keyfob with remote start and have the dealer flash the computor to activate the remote start will it work with less range? Thanks

If you car is automatic and did not come with remote start from factory, you only need 3 things to get it to work.

- Remote start kit from the dealer, you have to have the wiring harness in this kit for it to work. ($100-$150)
- Remote start key fob ($50)
- Reflash from dealer (not really sure if this is needed as I've heard of some people doing this in their driveways)

I am 99% positive you can flash yourself easily. Can someone correct me if I am wrong

No. It is required to add remote start to a automatic that does not have remote start from factory.

What your thinking of is something different.
