I would suggest either an Injen or CAI intake over the K&N, they have shown to produce more power. Long tube headers and exhaust will compliment the intake but you will want/need to get a tune. That should finish off your budget. Also, I would look at a header and cat back package that are from the same manufacturer.
Probably the biggest bang for the buck upgrade to consider if your car is M6 equipped would be going to 3.73 rear end gears. Upgrading the factory 3.27s to the 3.73s you will realize an equivalent torque gain of approximately 15% or 40.95 rear wheel lb.-ft. of torque. I agree with Chase on the Injen. As will most people who've modded their v6.
As for exhaust, i'd go with a well designed catback system, less restriction to airflow is more potential ponies you can unlock. However, I think exhaust is a lost cause for power, just get the one you think sounds best. Most aftermartket exhausts give you a gain of 4-5HP. As for headers, i still don't know which ones are the best LT headers. If you want to go faster, you can shed weight as well. Based on the V6 power to weight ratio, you gain an equivalent 1rwhp for every 16lbs you shed.

Another vote for Injen being the class of the intakes.
You probably want a full 2.5" cat-back to go along with long tube headers. And you'll need/want a tune, too.

Listen to Apex. Get the gears.

Hopefully a new throttle body will be out within the next month or two.
You could also go with lighter rims and some better tires.

I very much agree with Chase. I think one of the biggest bang for your buck is gears. It may be only one mod for your 2 grand....but it should be as much of a noticable change as CAI + Long Tubes + exhaust combined. Then later you can add the others when your ready.
If you have a manual, then 3.73s are probably the best choice. if you have an automatic...well then only 3.55s are available. Not the best in my opinion, BUT still would be a noticeable difference forsure. You would just need to study up on them and make your choice (which there is a thread about this in the transmission section). You would also likely need a tune to change the shift points and correct your speedometer. I'm assuming your ok with doing a tune since you mentioned getting the BBK long tubes. They will most likely require a tune to fight off a CEL. But that said, there is one member here that I know of that has gotten lucky and not gotten a CEL with his set...just using non-foulers. Otherwise.....if you don't want to do gears, then (anything) + long tubes will be a nice power gain.
