The all-aluminum LSA supercharged V-8 is part of GM’s legendary small-block engine family. For a solid foundation, the engine’s lower end uses six-bolt main bearing caps that clamp and lock in the forged steel crankshaft to the deep-skirt block.

The CTS-V's current version of the LSA also has a forged crankshaft. It doesn't look like anything is changing in regards to the internals of the LSA, so that would mean no forged pistons.

0-60 sounds about right. i think the 1/4 mile will be faster than that. i'm hoping mid 11s at least if not lower. top speed no idea....

I wouldn't put money on that... Yeah, they raised the power, but it's still on 20"s and it's even heavier than the SS now. It better get some damn good line launching traction to pull times like that w/o DRs in manual form... The Auto I'd consider believing numbers like that stock.

Car is going to be a beast. Very nice. GT500's are notoriously difficult to launch. I hope the ZL1 eats the GT500's lunch.
