Nick at fastlane in houston told me today during their customer appreciation party that he has a GM supplier that has a huge order for them, and fastlane will have about 20 sets of them to sell...the reason nick is getting so many is a lot of his customers as do we want them..

do these seats offer more room for a roll bar to be installed?

Any idea about Fastlane's pricing?

Not feeling it, I don't see the attraction. You lose the adjustable head rest hence those seats almost touch the roof. I guess I don't understand the attraction to them..And the extra money to boot?

No but I will ask nick next time I speak to him,I think the attraction is that they have the look and feel of a race seat with the comfort of a couch. plus If someone wants to install a harness bar just so they have the look and feel its there. if someone wants to install a correct roll bar,and harness for track use the seat holds the straps in place, and the looks are a real selling point for most.

What gen=5 just stated! I need better side bolstering that the stock seat cannot provide. The harness option also. Once you have had a properly installed harness in your car and been on the track you understand why.

Thanks, I appreciate it.

BAD ZL1 - The stock ZL1 seat with the suede inserts are pretty good, the Recaros with the same suede inserts and additional bolstering are much better. If I was only going to keep the car a short time it would not matter, but I plan to have it for a while. I spent a lot of time at CF4 sitting in them and found that that they just wrapped very nicely around me.

How are the Recaro's on long distance trips? The regular seats are very comfortable and maybe could use a little more lower back support; but otherwise are great.

I haven't taken mine on a long trip yet, but around town they're extremely comfortable! Drove my 03' Corvette to Pompano Beach last week and my a$$ was numb by the time I got there. Not to mention the road noise from run flat tires!!!

They are the same seats standard in the Z28 and optional in the SS. The sticker showed them as a $1,995.00 option on the ZL1. I am hoping that these seats are made available to all 2012 and 2013 ZL1 owners at a discount. They have the suede center section and power adjustments of the standard ZL1 seats and should be a plug and play swap. If there are any 2014 ZL1 buyers that were NOT going to buy the option, send me a PM.
...agreed, I like them...alot. Micro fiber material, and they wrap around ones body perfectly <maybe not so much for plus sizes> To put the icing on the cake a harness will keep you in place for hi G's. It's highly doubtful about discounts for the previously issued models, although a nice thought. Plug and play may be an issue as well. It's not as much the way it used to be as we were accustomed to in the past I suspect.

i would think a seat would be a simple plug and play. the seat track bolts probably match up perfect and as long as the plug is the same i wouldn't think it would be too difficult to swap. ill let you know when they come out cuz i am buying at least 1
