NEED HELP on complete vvt/dod/afm delete
Hi guys and thanks in advance for any help I just did a complete Dod and vvt delete and installed my new cam and the whole delete kit so
Question 1: On the original L99 valley cover there is a sensor in the rear that has no where to connect with the new ls3 valley cover? what do you do with the connector? and #2 there is a two wire connector that was going to the dod on the front cam cover, this too has no where to connect and I am getting a cam sensor code after it ran fine for a couple minutes while beginning the tune then started to run bad and stall with the P0010 code for the cam sensor continuesly coming up? I am a new member and will fill out my info latter today. Thanx.. |

Go to Horsepower sales.
in pompano......its expensive but worth it. hell man why didn't you buy an ls3 magnacharging the L99 witout a cam change can yeild upto 600 rwhp with traction a big issue....i don't see the need. but good luck....i also did the afm dod delete.....just to remove the mechanicals.. tranfring to a cam is a labor intensive deal

Is there a sticky thread with a step by step on how to tune out the AFM?
I did a search but was unable to find anything. Thanks.

There is no link attatched??
Thanks for trying to search . I have searched too.. Dod is shut down in Hp tuners but there is nothing I saw for AFM and I still need to know what to do with the harness from the old/L99 valley cover and the 2 wire connector that went on the cam cover from the dod i guess...??? |

The connector for the AFM can be zip tied to the harness for the injectors and coils. It is no longer used.
For my customers that do a LS3 conversion I change the front cover and install a newm3 wire short harness to the crank sensor. HP tuners can turn off the AFM and the associated codes. |

Thanks,
So then neither the 2 pin connector at the timing cover or the 4 pin at the back of the intake are connected any longer. Then why am I getting the p0010 code for Cam sensor?? maybee it just went bad? It ran idled fine for a couple minutes then backing up to the dyno it started sputtering and stalling and running rough with the p0010 code continuesly comming on . and runs rough every time you start it now . only 6 K on the car |

I'm in the midst of doing the DOD/AFM delete on the L99. The Valley cover LS3 replacement has a metal tube coming out of one end, which the L99 did not have.
What goes on this tube? It looks like some sort of vent tube. |
