Same here. I educated 5 kids and my youngest girl got married last week in Cancun, Mx. Been working since '61. Now it's time for me to have some fun since retiring 4 years ago. Sorry to say the way things are going now, I don't think you guys in your 20's, 30's, 40's will be able to do the same.

About $55.000 with todays USD/SEK rate. Used.

Import to EU just about doubles the price of everything.

Sure we will. We'll just need our "Ronald Reagan" to show up and defeat our current "modern day" Jimmy Carter. History always has a way of repeating itself..

I payed for my car with a wire transfer, At 51 i have put in the time and had lots of ups and down, Its all about managing your money, Not money managing you.

This is what i do to make that money.

#1 i am an entrepreneur
#2 i hire land surveyor's and civil Engineer's for my land development
#3 i build Homes under the company name.
#4 i sale Homes that i build.

For all of you that want to learn to manage your money, you need to listen to a guy buy the name of Dave Ramsey.

Where do you bounce? I might have to come by and talk about how someone stole your trim rings .

As for me, bank software programmer and other odd programming jobs. I didn't much of anything down (lol $176.xx) as I was just wanting to round my payments to a specific whole dollar amount. Whenever I decide I'm ready to pay off my car (faster) I will start doubling my payments. I manage my money rather well as I like to run case scenarios and have fun with math :p
