A wire problem would show up more in the higher rpm area.

Pull the plugs and see if there is a problem there.

I threw money at a rough idle with MSD wires and new OEM plugs. The MSD wires were so inconsistant in the ohms from one to the other that I tried the Granatellis and those did smooth out the idle some. My MSD's are still sitting in a box as I just can't bring myself to throw them away, but I certainly wouldn't sell them to anyone either.

Maybe you have a small vacuum leak. If it's a bad wire or plug you should see it on a scanner as a misfire.

You can get the MSD Super Conductors from Summit for 65.00. MSD's are great wires.

Those MSD wires look like a stretch. I have heard that before. Do they come any longer that that? I am about to order some and have been going back and fourth between the MSD andTaylor.

I'd just continue to run the stock wires. If you are mistaking the "bump" at idle for a misfire...the LS3's all do that, even brand new.

Agreed.

No offense...but those wires fit like crap. Why are they yanked so tightly? They look like they're for different coils that mount lower (closer to the exhaust ports) on the valve covers...maybe an older application or something...for example, I know on an LS1, if you wanted to run the heat sink truck coils (D585's) you had to run truck wires, as the LS1 car wires fit too tightly like your picture.

I have msd wires and they don't fit like that. They are just right. I got them because the stock wires touched my headers.

Here are some interesting videos I found regarding wires - it sure makes Granatelli wires look good. MSD wasn't bad either compared to other brands.

If someone wants to send me a set of MSD's and a set of Granatelli's, I'll test them both back to back against my OEM wires on the dyno within 2 minutes of each other (where you'll see results that matter)...then I'll send them back and happily continue to run my stock OEM wires.
