The current style are stick-on which would work on the back but the front might be tough.

I dont mind the Bowties.. but I wish they were RED to match my red "SS".. I think I may have to paint them......

I think the real solution will be for someone to create an SS emblem that is mounted on a bowtie shaped backing that will fit into the original installation points. Sure, upon close inspection someone will be able to see the bowtie probably. But, for the most part the just SS will be visible. If someone does this I'll be all over it

That's exactly what I was saying before. If you were to remove the bowtie, it would leave an indention shaped like it so the SS would have to have a bowtie-shaped backing to compensate. The only other way to do it is make an entirely new grille which... so far, seems like what's gonna be done.

I know that Tom Henry Racing had a render when they were in their concept stage for their 'THRSS' Camaro that they are developing.

Exactly!!
I've been saying the same thing! We don't need an aftermarket grill! (Though some would like one anyway), all we need is an SS emblem that would fit over the existing bowtie fitting. It isn't rocket science! And if I had manufacturing tools, I would do one custom of my own!! Hell,, I might find a way of doing one anyway!

Anyone notice that the new SS emblem is on a near exact angle to the bowtie. So to design an aftermarket SS emblem to fit into the divit left from the bowtie isn't much of a stretch. A company could produce a near replica to the factory SS emblem, just blown up a little and angled in the center (or have the backing agled) to fit into place on the grill.

C'mon vendors! Enough with the stripes and stickers (youve pretty much mastered that much), and lets move with emblems!!

Look at the SLP Camaro on the photos thread, they've done that exact thing. Except it's with the old school SS script, I'd prefer the new SS script.

ss was on the gas cap in the centre of the tail panel on 67,68. embem on 69.

If you're going to have the back panel painted black anyways, have the holes filled. Then you can put the SS on it without worrying about the holes showing.
