First time Chevy/ American car owner questions...

Hey guys I'm new to the forum and had a few questions about my car. I just bought a 2015 camaro lfx from a chevy dealer it had 15 miles on it... I'm assuming it still has the oil from the factory.. and those models probably got there late 2014.. my car still being new was probably in the lot for well over a year.. should I change the oil? Second question.. when the car is at idle or under light acceleration, I can hear a light clicking sound similar to when and import needs oil type sound.. is that normal on the v6?

Check the oil. .. and no way it's been on the lot a year you can check the build date.. but your oil should be fine and the clicking sound is the direct injection it's pretty noisy

Welcome. Mine was a 2015 I bought in February and it was built in November. . The oil should last they say 7500 miles but I'd get it changed the first time sooner maybe 5000 but you should be fine.. and welcome to C5

Thank god you came to your senses and purchase a American car instead of a foreign car made of plastic.

My Dad is big on American cars.. I've always had rotary engine cars.. after installing my 3rd engine in 2 years I called it quits.. and I got a great deal on my 2015.. so this is what I'm looking at..

Vtc controller
Vmax throttle
Cai intake
Loudmouth v1

Any recommendations or suggestions? Anything I should stay away from?

Yes. For direct injected engines they are a must stock or modded.

I HIGHLY recommend Muffler Delete and Resonated X-Pipe for sound and the VTC is a must too.Best bang for your buck mods along with CAI.Don't buy a premade exhaust...it will just be more expensive and sound the same or not even as good as the above setup.

I agree with all above especially the muffler delete with resonated x-pipe!

Video of that exhaust setup

Same exhaust from Watkins Glen this year
