Got a Parking Violation Today...

: I got a parking violation today for being parked the wrong way on the side of the street. I didn't know that it has to be the same way as the flow of traffic. It was in a residential area but I learned my lesson and payed the fine. Its amazing how many little things we dont know about that will get you these violations.

He was probably driving his camaro thus making it related. No need to be a hardass.

Surprised you didn't know this.
They used to teach this stuff in Drivers Ed.

I'm amazed at how little common sense people have these days. Even if you didn't know the law, it makes no sense to park against traffic. Oh well, some people have common sense ,and some people have to pay to learn.

Always makes me wonder what people are thinking when they park against the flow of traffic. Doesn't that feel unnatural to you? Usually the same people in neighborhoods that park next to stop signs and obstruct intersections.

It depends what state you live in.
I have lived in a few states, and you are allowed to park against traffic in some states.
However, a look at how everyone is parking would be the thing to do.

Thanks, Roger

Give the poor guy a break! He made a mistake. But now that I think about it, he actually made two mistakes. The second was posting online so everyone can rub his face in the mud.
