Hi all,
I certainly agree with most everyone's comments about these wonderful cars. Mine is strictly a weekend street car toy ...and I love every minute of driving it. I think of it as a modernized version of 60's-70's performance cars. Very modernized, but also very brutal...hence my license plate, "BRUTAL Z." It is, IMO, the best performance car that Chevy has put out, purposeful, not overly gimmicky and very solid. I think I'll head out for a drive right now... Take care, JJ |

My new Z/28 makes me feel like I'm in my old 68' Camaro (sold) but way more refined. I had built a 383 stroker for it and it sounded sick, ran wicked strong, but didn't have polite Street manners. Not to mention the holley carb needing adjustments constantly especially if it sat for a while. Had no AC, and the hot engine air would roast my a** in the summer. My Z sounds awesome at idle, that 427 has AMAZING power, handles like it's on rails, and with a 'totally optioned out' Z it even has ac! I admire it every time I open the shop door.
The new Camaros are awesome and I'm confident the new 1LE line up, especially ZL1 1LE, will be incredibly impressive cars, I'm happy with mine though. |
