Why its good to wait...

if we all wait it will garentee lower prices...
we should wait for the competition to brew as well for better product/lower prices...

m3,is-f .... really saturate more
and till the new eclipse comes out, the new mustang, falcon, impala, 370z, and the new mazda 6 and mazda rx8 come out...
apparently a new s2000.... on top of perhaps several shelby models...
when these cars ALL come out thats some serious v8 competition, or performance competition... either category being... competition yeilds better products and better prices... so i will not buy for the first couple years or at least until all these NEW ...cars come out

The only reason waiting is lingering in my mind is because the potential possibility of a Gen V engine. Unlike you, I am not loaded, all the audi models, the m3, hell even the evo and sti are out of my price range. And the fact that this car will be shared with my parents on various occasions (they can't drive a manual), cuts all of the imports out of my car quest because lets face it. Japanese automakers absolutely suck at making automatics or for that matter cheap dual clutch trannies.

It must be nice up there in Canada....thats all i have to say...why not just by a few of previously mentioned?

If you wait till both the Falcon and the Impala are out, you might have to wait for a long time.

Also, the hp wars will peak in a couple years before backing down due to cafe. So, if you want the most it will likely happen in 2011-2012. I'll be buying in 2011 but that is because I have no other choice and because I don't trust 1st model year cars.

its kinda like the people who are trying to get you to save your tax rebate instead of throwing it away and possibly putting yourself into debt with it.

while its a great idea, but no one is going to do it.


im now at a crossroads. while i dont believe i will be buying a new camaro when they first come out. had a serious chat with the fiance at a car show a couple weeks ago...basically there was a guy selling a 69 Z28 camaro and she and i got to talking about it and she told me id have to pick between getting an old 69 in decent shape and being able to build it from the ground up or a brand new camaro (after a year or two)


buuut, praying my backup deal goes thru. a buddy of mine is supposedly getting a large amount of money when he gets back from overseas and we've already been putting forth our future business plan for a drag strip setup. and depending on the amount, he's commented that we will need "work/sponsor" cars...namely the 5th gen. lol only time will tell


but i am going to wait regardless, tho i would love to have the first one that rolls off the line, id be tempted not to drive it. and i like to drive my cars

My truck will be paid off in sept 09, Planning on having a brand spanking new camaro within 3 months of that date.

I'm not waiting. I needed a fun car 6 months ago. I've got two ricers to trade in. I'm chompin' at the bit, foaming at the mouth.

Corvette - payments more than I want.

Infiniti G37, great car, but doesn't turn me on.

Pontiac G8 GT -I don't want a 4-door family car.

Pontiac G8 GXP -only making 5000-7000 (price gouging), I don't want a family car, "just under $40,000", won't be out untill around December, and

Camaro hits the streets in March.

well im waiting... and im not THAT loaded i just got lucky with cars. most of them are in my dads business... so they get tax write offs left right and centre... i never pay taxes on a car... EVER.... n top of which the corvette was my dads brothers and the firebird is my brothers... the viper we got for a great deal... the only car we bought retail was the edge... and its a cheap ford anyways... but its decent.... regardless... im waiting to see what comes out... and i want a camaro with hopefully a gen 5 motor.... but ill take the ls3 if the gen v isnt out by 2012

I'm in the midst of looking for a new job (not that the one I have now is bad, but...), and I'm starting my own business.

I hope by the time the camaro comes out I will be more stable, But if all goes to plan I will be getting my camaro within its first few months its on the road.
