Personally, I would love to see additional variants of the 5th generation Camaro. In practice, I would think it'd be more cost-effective to create them as factory performance packages available on-request.
I'm not a track star like some of the C5 member's; so, I like to push my little V6 around corners and in the twisties a little harder and a little faster than the next guy to get my kicks. I think a Z/28 would be more fun for the everyday driver who wants that little bit of a thrill from being able to reasonably blow by most cars while being able to chuck it into a corner in the city when it suits them.

Yes, I'll buy a Z28 if offered.
A 475hp 6.5L (396ci) would be nice, but unlikely. Brakes, Suspension, Tires/Wheels, Cooling, Dry Sump, CF Hood/Splitter/Spoiler, Recaros. No weight gain with upgrades. Optional Track Multi-Delete Package. |

So what if the Z28 weighed 3800 lbs.?
The Boss is about 20 lbs. more than the GT, and blows it away. It's all about control. Losing weight would be nice, but you can still have great handling just ask Pedders and Pfadt! |

I am with you on this one, we dont need to shed weight, but make the weight work with us not against us.

I just looked at the specs on the Shelby GT350, it weighs almost 4,000 lbs. yet its stats are impressive. 0-60 = 4.2 1/4 = 12.4 skidpad = .99 Slalom = 69.2 mph |

and i think we could have a Z28 tip the scale around 3750 lbs which is 110 less then a 1ss, but even if not, most of the weight is already low in the car an equaled out nicely on all four corners so improving on the handling, not saying its bad now even, is just some minor suspension upgrades.

How many Boss 302 are even being made?
Isn't it just a 2 year run and about 2,000 units? By the time a Z28 comes out it won't have anything to compete against, assuming it comes out as a 2013 MY. |

Edit: That might be the N/A GT350, but there hasn't been a test done on that yet. Below is the mid-model GT350. |

There will be 4000 Boss 302's made each year. 750 of those will be Boss 302 Laguna Seca models. I have heard that the Laguna Seca is just a 2012 Boss special model, the 2013 Boss special model will be called something else. I have heard some rumors on the name but will not mention it until it is solid.

According to Road and Track the Boss has NO limit. However the Boss LS does. |
