Looking for a lift. Thoughts and opinions.
I am trying to find something that will lift my car up so I can do work under it. I.E. Change exhaust, oil and things. I was just looking for the best bang for my buck and was curious if anyone knew of any?

I just had a Rotary Asymmetric 10K lift installed and love it. I went with Rotary partly because they had the lowest pad height of the lifts I looked at (3 5/8"). Good if you have lowered cars like I do. Made in USA and was $4200 installed. I did the electrical part myself which was pretty easy as I the electrical panel in my shop was nearby.

Check Craig's list. I bought a rotary 10k asymmetrical for 2k and did the install myself. Just read the instructions on rotary site, double check measurement and drill the holes. I don't know how people live without them.

whats some of the minimum heights required

blk 2ss 6spd with sunroof.
intake,tsp cam,full exhaust,pcmforless tune,trailing arms,toe rods. hopeing for 11.9 because my g/f said she will take the cam and the suspension back if not. |

Four post BackYard Buddy here also, over 20 years of use and no issues.
A two post can be great but without the proper knowledge and safety equipment it can be deadly, also, many guys install there two post lifts without the proper concrete specs needed for the install.....that can lead up to a catastrophic failure.RIP

I have a challenger CL10V3 lift. I really like it. I like that it has 3 stage front arms for extra length. I have a lowered 2002 Camaro and I can still fit the pads under it no problem. I like this lift because I can do both Symmetric and Asymmetric lifting. If you put things like trucks on the lift it's nice to be able to lift symmetrically.
I also like the manual locks (non-air operated). They work very well and don't require another source of power to operate the lift with. Just needed to get a 220V plug wired in and I was all set. Most 2-post lifts will require 12ft ceiling height clearance. There are a few out there that you can get by with a little less but not much.
