When we had our Akita (RIP), she only road in our truck/SUV. Too big to be getting in and out of our Corvette or Camaro (previous one) to fit comfortably or without damaging something ...

We also have a 90lb Chow/Shepard mix that is scared to death of riding in any car. We also have a Yota Corolla that they can ride in with out a seat. If Paige shed like Zeus, She wouldn't ride in the Camaro at all.
@ Sandman1969 Sad about abused dogs. Why get a pet? I couldn't agree more! 2 days after we had Paige home, I went to pick her up and hurt her. She took 3/4 inch chunk out of my top lip. It was totally my fault and I have not picked her up like that again. I didn't get mad and punish her one bit. In fact she slept in my bed with me that night. I could see that she knew it bother me that she bit me but I knew she was abused and that is the chance I took by getting her.

Awesome thread! We have 4 dogs, two of which will never go in the camaro. One is scared to death to even go on a road trip, but she is also really senior now and just do not want to subject her to the noise. She likes quiet better... But we have a Rat Terrier that will go for rides with us and to shows soon. Plus we have a Shelti/Corgi mix that just loves going where you go. She he will be able to as well.
Once we cover the seats of course and buckle them in. Safety first. Could not imagine not having dogs and even cats now. So much personality and no batter how shitty your day is, they still love to see you with grand excitement every night. Totally worth it! |

The owner that had our Camaro had a White dog. We only know that because when we started cleaning it the 1st time, There was white dog hair and some scratches. Good thing my shop vac work well. Then one thing that I never do is take her when I'm going to a store. Way to many pet owners should leave them at home if they are going shopping for hours. Paige will pout when I leave her at home, So I hook her seat up every night to take her for her ride. She hasn't quite figured out the sunroof being open yet.

I let the little one ride. She enjoyed it but she is only about 60lbs. Now my male is over 100 lbs and he rides in the truck

I normally take the animals in the MDX. I would let my two cats in the camaro only if they're kenneled, no go on the dog.

Ive taking my little French bulldog in the Camaro a few times. He usually sits in my wifes lap with a towel. He gets really excited/nervous (pending his mood) in the car and will sometimes shed like crazy, the towel really helps.
My garage queen Camaro is almost 5 years old so Ive gotten more comfortable with using it like a regular car.
