Prayers for Texas

To all my fellow forum members, that are down in Houston and the surrounding areas heavily affected by Harvey, let me say you and your families are in our prayers here in Connecticut. We also have National Guard, and Red Cross volunteers, and others, from here headed your way to offer aide. I've done my part by making a monetary donation to The Red Cross and Salvation Army. Be safe, and I hope that your lives will return to normalcy as soon as possible.

Thanks. We were about 6' from water inside the house. The Camaro is fine. But we were lucky compared to the destruction around. It's going to be a long process going forward.

We haven't slept a full night since Thursday. The last 3 were spent watching the water levels around us and watching for looters. Still more flooding to come from a few rivers that will be overflowing in the next day or so.

Several coworkers have lost houses and vehicles. It's a mess.

A mess indeed sir, still have the car on blocks here, as well as another car. Rain might be over but the flooding is just beginning

Thank you all.....we need all the help we can. Thank the Lord me and my family are safe and sound.....a which is the true bottom line in all of this. I am south of Houston a little ways, and our neighborhood is one that got small highlite during all this, I had to evacuate but our neighborhoods levee is till intact but the brazos river hasn't crested yet and isn't predicted to crest until Friday night/Saturday morning. Just hanging on and praying.....but at least WE are safe.

To be certified from red cross you need to pass a training course.
Without it their insurance cannot accept you.
