Pricing Starting Point

As with many others right now, I'm kicking around the idea of selling my 2011 supercharged SS. I just don't get a chance to drive it.

I understand something is only worth what someone will pay for it (learned my lesson on baseball cards back in the day.)

But what would a fair starting point be for my 2011 SS?

2011 2SS
24,000 miles
Automatic
Imperial Blue Metallic
Custom Wheels
LSA Supercharger installed by ADM
LT headers
Tune
Larger injectors
501 rwhp 510 torque
Paint in good shape, garage kept for last 5 years
Leather seats
Sun roof
Super clean interior, non smoker
Regular stereo, no navigation
New battery
Drag radials, factory tires on front

I understand you will only get a small portion to none of your investment for modifications.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Chuck

I bought my stock 2011 2SS with 11k miles for $20k in 2018. The only additions were a borla catback and K&N cold air. It was a good price. So you would be around there stock. He was asking $25k and wasn't getting much action on it. I would say start around $26k and see what happens. after 10 years banks won't issue loans for cars so someone could still get a loan on the car. If you get no action, you know the market sucks. ZL1's they are still asking around $30k for 5th gens. basically you'll have to be less than a ZL1 by a decent amount. If you see ZL1s for sale around you for $25k you might get a little over $20k. if they are $30k around you then you might get $25k if you're lucky.

Thanks for the input guys. I was hoping for between $22-$24. Might be difficult with the current economy. I'll kick it around for a while. It's not going anywhere.

Manual or auto? Seeing manuals being desired and with a LSA I think you could start at the $24k to $25K figure and see how it goes.

Sounds clean and desired. Inventory is low and folks are looking. It is actually not a bad time to dip into if you are looking to do.

I thought I saw a post for someone in the for sale section looking for your color.

Edit: Color may have been the ABM someone was searching for.

Did it get a AFM lifter removal? I don't think most people would know or care but if they are up on L99s it would matter.
The work being done by a known shop helps, I think the value is around where you said. Likely sell faster with non-slicks as that limits the number of buyers and might scare away over half of them.

No, it still has the original lifters.

ZL1's aren't cheap around here.

Agreed on the slicks, they are about done anyway with just regular street miles. I never took it to the track, was too scared I'd break something knowing my luck.

I would put it up for 21,900 and go from there. Craigslist is $5. Sift through the murderers, rapists and scam contacts (don't publish your email or phone number, and you'll be fine). 3 months ago, I bought a 96 vette on CL. Just couldn't love it, so I sold it 4 weeks ago on CL. Ignoring the A holes that messaged me with "I'll buy car now, just call me or email me" and sticking with people who actually asked legitimate questions, I had a bidding war on my hands. Sold it in 3 days and bought my 10 RS. Don't wait too long, 'tis the season for sports cars. Worth a shot on CL for $5

I did find through my search there were more autos available and they were less money than the M6s

If your not hurting for cash & can sit on it start on the high end. You can come down but never go back up.

I would start around 21-22K, might as well try to get some that mod money back. The right buyer may appreciate the LSA. Just depends on how long you are willing to wait for the right buyer.

Will probably post it here this weekend before I stick it on CL or Facebook Marketplace and deal with the tire kickers.

Thanks for all the input.
