My point was the Corvette had the same chromed/metal bumper since 1968 (63-67 was also chromed/metal) and then was wrapped in rubber/plastic in 1973+. The Firebird was chromed metal from 1967 (front & rear) till 1973 (rear). In 1974+ no more metal. While other cars in 1974/75 were cleaning up their look the Camaro was metal (front and rear) until 1978. The heaviest and least attractive being 1974 - 1978.

You missed the point of my original post I was saying all cars had uglier bumpers. Some were just uglier than others.

I have seen a lot of posts lately where people are softening up to the changes, just as Fbodfather said. But you will always have some that will never change their minds. They need to realize nothing ever stays the same, even they look different than they did 10 years ago. LOL
But that's ok if everyone liked the same things all cars would look alike. I just hope they can quit posting so much hate towards it before they run off all the new members that have bought 2014's.

I had a chance to talk to Scott Settlemire at C5fest and asked about all the dislike for the tail lights. He pointed out WAY back when the first Camaro Gen5's were shown, Lots of comments were made they look to much like Corvette. He then pointed out the new 2014 tail lights can be sold in Europe and Abroad. This save's money not having to make two different production rear bumpers. This saving's can be used in Research and Development. Like finding ways to make the Camaro lighter. It all made sense and made my dislike seem small, actually kind of selfish. Well Just my 2cents worth
