Took me about 3 hours but that was vacuuming the carpet when I pulled the seat out and all. lol If I had to do it again I'd say gimme 2 hours. Maybe only hour and a half. But All I had to do was cut about an inch off of the front of the passenger side diverter. It was just as Steve told me it would be. Total bolt in after that. So have you had a chance to "run" them yet? I need to find someone I trust to drive my car with them open so I can hear it as a bystander. And yea, I love how the car shakes when you open them all the way up.
I think I am going to relocate my switch to the side of the console like another member here did. |

I've gone to a couple of car events/meets in the last two weeks. I've rolled in with the cutouts open. Its a show stopper for sure. There are a couple of isolated roads nearby where I can run for a mile or two with them open and row up and down the gears. From inside its way awesome but about 2-3 minutes is all I can take. And then the little piggie went WEE WEE WEE on down the road louder than NASCAR.

I looked at that location and would be the easiest to do there. Dremel it out and you're done. But I didn't like it. I'm considering putting it as indicated in the below pic. Or extending the wires and putting it overhead somewhere. |

I put my switch on the side of the center console. You can see it (look below the steering wheel on the side of the console). It's the toggle switch. The other knob in front of it is my subwoofer control. That location is easy to get at AND it's easy and cheap to replace that panel (I ordered a spare from Rodgers for $35) if you ever want to change things back. I'd never drill that beautiful DSV Customs piece you have. Last edited by Darth_Emma; 05-17-2012 at 10:49 PM. |

Ya, I believe I've decided not to cut on my leather part. hahahaha
You bring a VERY good point. It is and easy piece to replace or move later if I need. Didn't think of it like that. Good to know. I may do that for now. Noweeds is designing a different plate. I made a few vids at their request. Recorded where it was hitting by greasing the back of the empty plate and taking pics of the witness marks. They honestly didn't realize it. Most people move the switch or don't realize it's hitting or never lifted the front of the seat. The seats that noweeds designed around apparently weren't in the raised position. I am impressed with their immediate reaction to want to fix this thing. I'd buy the system with NO mounting plate at all. I have really been impressed with the workmanship and design. (obviously other than the plate) |

That's awesome they are jumping on this, I saw the interference too, if I was one to move the seat alot to the point I would be flexing the plastic mount, I would have done something different. Seeing as I am the only one that drives it, it's not an issue. Now if the contact point was the control it's self, it would have been a different story.

That looks awesome! As long as you don't accidentally bump the open button as you're driving by a LEO, hahaha!! I need to relocate mine, but haven't decided where.
