OK, Rick just finished with the final dyno pull, and I was amazed at the results. Now I am sure I will need an updated clutch, and down the road, a forged set pistons and connecting rods. But Rick set up the tune to still be safe, and assured me that the stock rotating assembly will survive. That being said, there is still MORE power to be found. With forged pistons and better rods, he feels that another 100hp could be found. He doesn't want to push the setup now, and advised me to drive it and see how long the factory clutch lasts, but he feels it wont last long. So that will be the next modification, a 2 disc clutch with one of his custom hydraulic clutch kits that operate just like the factory clutch, but will handle 1200+hp. I will make it to the track ASAP and let you guys know the results.

Oh yea.....

Very nice numbers. If you plan on doing a lot of Drag racing I think you will need the RPS clutch available from Lingenfelter. I burned up a ZR1 clutch and have a Mantic in my car now but the last inspection showed a lot of wear. The mantic drives really nice on the street but drag racing with a lot of power is really tough on the clutch. And if you don't have drag radials you will not get traction.

Ok, looks like this got a bit out of control here. Let me come in here to clarify the build.

He send the car to use, Synergy Motorsports, and in return here is the list of what we did that I am happy to share with all of you.

Heads and cam specs are.....
-Trick flow out of the box 255 heads. I did not tweak them like I do sometimes, I wanted to see how far I could go on their out of the box head.

-Our custom race cam for this setup.

-Our custom head gaskets to tighten up the quench for more power and compression.

-Now, we did our blower porting to this setup, but not as aggressive as we have on some other builds. For the porting I maintained the stock outlet size on the runners to the head because they matched up pretty good already, so I cleaned up the running surroundings and made sure like I do with all setups, that the head and runner all match at each opening. This is done by laying the heads on our spare engine, with the gasket sizing, and then laying the case and scribing the head or case to match. As for the front of the case, I could of gone bigger, but wanted to do a nice mild and non over kill port to the front side. I do this buy making metal plates that bolt to the back side of the snout and the front of the case. This allows the ports on both side to match perfectly.

-I am using the LS3 late style TB which I ported the snout to match as well. I did not go to the 102NW because there is not as much side thickness as there is on the LPE snout for the 2300 case. So the 90mm is whats on there now. Now I also left it un ported to to see what it would do stock, then I ported it at the end. Gained me roughly 15-20HP from the porting at this HP level.

-The headers are simple, 1 7/8ths, no cats full ARH system to his stock mufflers. So no crazy stuff there.

-Injectors are FIC80's. So yes, they are 80's.

-Running a single nozzle meth injection as well.

-We have a few other tricks of course, but we keep those to doing the builds when we do them in house, its what sets us apart. But honestly its a very easily repeatable setup if anyone wants anything just like it. And matter of fact there is still more room to go on this as well.

-the pullies are your typical 8.6 lower and a 2.55 uppper.

-its the LPE isolator, so not sure how the word billet got thrown in there.

Any other questions I would be more then happy to help answer them.

Best part is because we build for efficientcy, the IATS on this car would start a run at 90 and end around 130-140
