Halltech is correct, There is a Federal Law that states that aftermarket performance parts do not void the Warranty. The Federal Law overrides anything the dealership wants to tell you. The Dealership does not provide you your warranty, the Manufacture does. I would not be so quick to trust the dealership, as they are known for spreading Myths and Misconceptions. The 2 biggest Myths and Misconceptions being that 1. Adding aftermarket parts will void the Warranty and 2. Oil Contaminates the MAF sensor. The Dealerships are usually the least educated on the laws. Thanks, David Last edited by Airaid Filters; 11-27-2009 at 10:32 AM. |

I would go with the Cold Air Inductions CAI....
great quality, great looking, great performance.... if you search the threads here, Ted Jannetty did a CAI "shootout" from all the major brands, and the Cold Air Inductions CAI came out on top as far as fit/form/function/performance... I've got their CAI model for my 06 Monte SS - had it for 3+ years now, and it's awesome... and I will DEFINITELY be buying their CAI setup again for my new Camaro when I get it next year! |

I purchased the CAI Inc. unit last night during the "black friday" special. I got for $358 shipped to San Diego. Great product. Great price. Looking forward to installing it.

on the hood for complete closure. Things can happen where that seal may not always be true. I prefer a self contained product. Nothing against these types of CAI's, it's just my preference. |

I was undecided. I was first considering the Airaid and was pretty much sold on it. After looking at it, it just seemed to bulky in the engine compartment. I finally decided to go with the roto-fab and boy I'm glad I did. I put it on the car tonight and it fits like a glove. The heat shield attach to all the factory point and does not move one bit. They did a great job on it. I have rally yellow and order the yellow heat shied. it looks great. I will try to post some pics tommorow. Good luck. I'm sure you will be happy with what ever you go with.
