high speed tire pressure - cold?

From the owners manual:
Make sure vehicles with 285/
35ZR20 (100Y), and 305/35ZR20
(104Y) size tires are inflated to
300 kPa (44 psi) before operating
the vehicle at speeds of 160 km/h
(100 mph) or higher.

I know standard recommended pressure is for cold tires. Would this be the same? I know pressure goes up with heat up so I'm thinking if you did this cold, you'd be in the mid to upper fifties at speed. Is that right? Seems pretty high to me but I don't know jack about racing. I do know my Z still gets to 100 before I realize it!

32 cold. On a road course when they heat up to around 40 they began to feel greasy.
