The instructions on the web site call for plumbing tape. I would use it, as it also helps you get the nipples to face the way you want.

Never mind, after looking at it, it wouldnt work if i had them in the front of the mount. I wouldnt be able to put the hoses on.

As long as you have enough clearance, the canister doesn't rub against anything, I wouldn't think it would be a problem mounting it on the backside.

With the tape, i was able to point one the inlet to about 10 o'clock and the return to intake at 3-o'clock out, but it's a 90 degree elbow so ultimately is points to 12 o'clock.

Not sure what the common v8 setup is...

Sorry about that Bobbyrage14SS. We don't normally put the install instruction in the boxes because its 10 pages and most of the time people don't even read them so its kind of a waste. I do have an email version that I would have been happy to email you but I'm glad you got it figured out! Let us know if you need any thing else.

I got the steel braided hoses with my purchase, I was curious if anyone trimmed the hoses to a shorter length. I seem to have a routing issue, and it could be because i have the can mounted on the back side because i couldnt get the elbows to face the engine from the front of the mount. Suggestions?
