I have a Vararam Intake and Borla ATAK axle back exhaust. But NO car to put them
on. Does anyone have this set up? If so do you like the sound and power increase?

So jealous! That was one of the first mods I wanted to do when I got my vert and was pi$$ed when the flowmasters didn't fit!

Have any video clips of the sound?

Hate that mines so quiet with stock!

Where are you guys buying these exhaust? Do you buy straight from the manufacturer, or thru a third party?

Yessir. I personally talked to one of the techs up there and specifically asked the question of the 2011 Subframe and Connectors.

They said they'd done two and one needed a set of spacers (used at the tunnel brace) to clear the exhaust. They are including the spacers with all their Catbacks as it was and he confirms that both the 14954 and 14951 will clear with little to no modifications at all.

Thanks,
Ivan

Borla Exhaust

I have just installed the Borla Touring catback system and it has a great sound, but with the automatic, you did get when it is in a low speed shift and load up on the exhaust that is annoying at low speeds. I just switch to manual and that way you can control that. It installed rather easily, but the left side is a little tight and you have to watch for it hitting the plate and getting a little rattle. The touring is plenty loud over the stock exahust.

Thanks for your interest in Borla products! The axle back systems will work on the Convertible Camaro. We do not know yet about the full cat-back system. We need to do a fitment on a Convertible to know for sure.

Cordially,

Greg L. Weiss
Borla Performance Industries

Since I am going with a axle back system, I am going to go ahead and order one now.

Thanks for your interest in Borla. We’ve not listed the Camaro Convertible yet.
We plan to confirm fitment and ask that you check back on our website in 2-weeks.
Thanks.

Sincerely,

Thanks for the hook Todd!.....cant wait to see/hear it when you get your Vert in!

Also, if anybody with an SS vert wants to try one of the new DT Axleback/Muffler delete kits, shoot me a PM and lets see how they work out for the Vert Crowd.

Just bought a Borla S-type catback. I never in the world thought I would buy something like an exhaust for a car..... I love having this car!
