Keep in mind that lighter 4 cylinder cars often "feel" faster than they really are. I'm not knocking the S2K, I think those are nice looking cars, I just know how deceptive they can be.

My buddies Modified EVO VIII feels WAY faster than my car, but once we tested them we learned it really wasn't. He honestly thought he was going to destroy my stock 5.0 and after both riding in and driving his car, I agreed he was going to get the easy W.
We quickly learned that we both fell victim to the deceptiveness of quick/ light 4 cylinders (especially one's with Turbos)

well, we did a quick 25 roll on our way to the movies.

take in consideration im completely stock, my cousin keeps saying hes completely stock but his s2k read 220 hp on the dyno and the other two s2k that was with him was at the 180hp. i did check under his hood and jus saw a K&N filter. thats pretty much it.

so the results was, him being a manual, he did pull ahead drastically when he shifted, too much to my surprise. and he said to make me feel worse that he was only at 7rpms instead of at like 9 when he race others. I wont account that as a real race tho. no videos were taken fortunately for me lol.

if they only accelerated "to the speed limit", as long as there were no dangerous maneuvers in the acceleration and they didn't go over the speed limit, no laws were broken.

I understand that, but in watching the speedometer and the RPMS clime as fast as they did, the car isnt a slouch by no means. Yes the camaro puts out quite a bit more hp but its also big, bulky, and has the aerodynamics of a brick lol no offense intended as I will be the owner of a erodynamic brick soon enough haha. With the s2k being the size of a cracker jack box toy, it has a very very strong chance. Turbo cars ARE deceptive like that, I also have a friend who used to have an evo, modified blah blah, we both thought hed take my bolt on gto.... nope. It was even then I hit third and walked away... to the finish line at the track

Im really not surprised on the outcome, go give it another try and be sure of the results. add a mod here and there and give it another go, see how much you improve on the run. NOTHING wrong with having a friendly rivalry, always brings out your best!

but yeah since im an automatic wouldnt it be a disadvantage? his s2k is manual and hes pretty good in shifting gears and he has yet to lose to anyone in this town, hes beat a mustang 5.0, ss camaro, civics (of course), beamers, mercedes, and the list goes on. theres only been an evo who has caught up to him but then he pulls of the lead.

if thats the case, there might be more done to his car than he's letting on??? does it "rumble and lope" when he starts it....... whine heavily when he gives it gas, or sound like a jet followed by a pshhhttt lol jp jp ofcourse, if it was heavily modified like that im sure you'd know. Sounds like he is quite the driver if hes beat those cars listed... or they all suck unbelievably when it comes to matters behind the wheel. oh yeah... street racing is bad... yeah... bad lmao
