Muffler Del vs. FM Catback vs. FM Catback w/ ADM Downpipes
Heres the story. I love my new 2010 SS, However, when you pick it up from the dealership it sounds like a sewing machine. I immediately went from the dealership in Arkansas to my boys at Broken Arrow Muffler and Radiator back home in Oklahoma. I had them do a muffler delete keeping the stock tips. $70 including me tipping them for the good work. They normally charge $100 for this type of job but i've sent them alot of business.
Here's how the Muffler Delete sounds. To alot of people including myself, I LOVED THIS WHEN IT GOT DONE!! after about 300 miles, I figured out that it sounded like a small V8. Had not much tone. had the growl but not the bassy boom that this 6.2 should have. So I hunkered down and bought a Flowmaster American Thunder catback. Decided to wake up the beast. Here's what it sounds like now. *( I dont know if you can tell the boomish low frequency that this one produces but its day and night different.)* Its about the same volume of sound as the muffler delete, but much better flow with the X and 40 series 2 chambers.. Holy Cow this system has some massive pipes at 3" through.. Okay.... I KNOW WHAT IM DOING NOW!!! :-) I had a nice warm day.. exhaust got nice and hot and i burnt out all packing in my flowmaster AT catback (if there was any) thanks to the added free flow from ADM performance. Here's what you all have been waiting for, the last of the video exhaust series, You've heard the Muffler Delete, the Flowmaster catback by itself in the first post, and here's the finale, same camera, same position then i took the liberty of starting it with the camera filming at a distance of 28' +/- from the side so you can see the astronomical difference. with the catback alone you wouldnt have been able to hear any exhaust note other than a brief startup from this position. Mine apparently shipped today which means i should have them tomorrow since im only a few hours away.. I will def have them put on ASAP lmao! cant wait.. what do you think of the fit and finish?

Looks like we're doing it saturday since UPS sucks my ass when it comes to time frame...
Well they finally showed up.. and no O2 sensor bungs like the ADM website said.. Talked to andy.. we're all good. Hes gonna send me 4 bungs and im going to replace my shops supply thats putting them on.. YEHAW!! tomorrow by about 10 or 11 you will see a new VIDEO!!! ;-)

Well, Got the downpipes on.. and all I have to say is "LOUD!!" like bleeding ears loud with this flowmaster catback.. I'm gonna drive it this way until monday, but if i dont fall in love, its going back factory with the cats.. its 5/3rds obnoxious.. and im only 26.. poor neighbors!
Im at work and I keep going outside and starting it up so I can talk myself into keeping them on... Its gonna be a hard sell.. Sounds like a performance boat *( not that its a bad sound at all )* just 100x louder than i thought. With the ADM's on it makes the 2 chamber flowmasters sound very metallic, like a 2 stroke but really big displacement... Havent really gotten them "Hot" and up to temp.. gonna work on my tune tomorrow as well.. we shall see...
