2013 ZL1 at Phastek - Hurst Short Shifter and Exhaust Commander install + dyno pics
Kelly stopped by yesterday with his nice 2013 ZL1 to check out some upgrade options.
While he was here we installed a Hurst Short Throw Shifter and Exhaust Commander Kit for him, check out some of the pictures below! Quick and easy install for the Exhaust Commander, it mounts in the trunk area: And in case you are interested, here is a dyno graph with a stock ZL1 manual transmission compared to a stock ZL1 with an automatic transmission: And in case you don't know what we are all about here at Phastek, check out the video below: |

Those numbers look somewhat low compared to other charts i've seen. Most M6 cars are at or very near 500rwhp..............hmmmm!

Just curious why anyone would need to replace a short throw shifter with another short throw shifter?

I would like to get some feedback from the owner on the Hurst--looks killer but is it as good as the stock shifter, which is superb???

Shifter
Please explain the advantage of the Hurst shifter over the one that came in my 2013 ZL1 that seems to work just fine. I will be interested in other mods soon.
Thanks |

Just spoke with the Customer again today, he said he feels about a 60% reduction in throw with the Hurst shifter, but most importantly, he said it really makes the car feel more Alive from the Feel of the engine/road/etc through the new shifter, "much more aggressive than stock". He also said the 2nd-to-3rd shift is Much quicker now with the Hurst shifter

that 2-3 shift in the ZL1 is kind of a pain, but I like the stock shifter.
