Just got my reverse hood kit on. need advice.

I got it from PFYC and it was not cheap. I had a professional install it. Anyone on here who can tell me this ?. Should it take two ppl to shut and latch it? It seems to want to move a little side to side.????? Any advice or is it just me.
Thanks

yea well by seeing how it's hinged it makes sense... it's only hinged in the middle. I imagine that's the best they can do for retrofit... and it's gonna be a little flimsy.

I thought about doing this a while ago, so I read some posts from people who did it and they said you needed 2 people to close it and also some problems with it not sitting right on the sides, either bulging or sagging. I decided not to do it, even though I think it looks great. Ur car looks awesome with that scheme.

Wow, that is an awesome paint job! Dolphins aren't on my short list of animals I'd paint on my Camaro, but it looks fantastic on yours, especially how the stripes are like a window into the ocean.

Anyone know the reason why it only has hinges in the middle?

Its the only place to hinge a reverse hood. They have used the spot where the original trunk latch is to save cost and modding required to find multiple hinge points I assume.

The use of 2 gas struts is a waste, our hoods are super light and at most would need 1 like in stock configuration, that could contribute the need of 2 people needed to close the hood?

It probably needs both struts to attempt and keep it even as possible when closing. Also to keep it from wanting to twist when opened, like in some wind outside or something.

It works in the normal direction since there are beefy hinges on each side that you don't need 2 struts.
