That's actually one of ways I had the dealer get me another car. The car brand new had a dent in the door and then said the dent-x guy would get it out without messing with the paint. They wound up taking me car to a body shop at least 20 miles away and painted the door and I refused the car. They got me another car. All they had to do was call me, I told them I did not authorize them to drive the car to another location for body work.

Would you trust a valet with your Camaro?

Stumbled upon this video here
(Happens at roughly 55 seconds into the video)

Pretty stupid of the valet driver to be fooling around with someone's car like that. The comments are pretty bad as well, some people can't wrap their head around why a valet going 0-50mph in your valuable sports car that you paid and trusted them with is a bad thing...

Not to mention the idiot was in enclosed environment.

Which brings upon the question, do you or would you trust a valet driver with your car?

This was posted before. I do not valet any of my cars. While the valet shouldn't have been driving like that, especially in a parking garage, I don't think what he did was that bad. It didn't seem like he redlined the car or e brake pulls or burning the tires up. However on the other topic it was posted that the guy didn't damage the front of the car.

Never in a million years. When I was 17, a bunch of my buddies had gotten jobs as valet parkers at a high dollar restaurant/bar. They used to beat the crap out of every sports car that came in there. Certain customers were regulars and they knew how long they typically stayed in the restaurant. They even let their friends (me!!) take cars out for "test drives"..... I personally hit 120mph in Pete Rose's black Porsche Targa Carrera (Pete was a regular). One of them destroyed the transmission in a 1969 Camaro and they all had to chip in to pay for it, while one guy (who was quitting anyway) was the scapegoat and got fired for it.

Nope, never in a million years.

That looks like the valet mode feature on the new Stingray.

Rarely. And when I do, I pre-tip them five bucks to be extra careful. I warn them about the low front end and to protect the doors.

That is the new dash cam recording feature available on 2015 Stingray Corvettes. The main intent is that you can record while you're driving on a track and it records all the vehicle dynamics (ground speed, engine speed, transmission gear) and video of your track laps.

Of course, as seen here, it's also very handy to record anything anyone does with your car if you're not driving it. The valet mode is great. I still would never valet my car, though.

Chevy ran a commercial of a Stingray being valet parked by 4 different "types" of valet drivers with this feature when it debuted:

Never don't think he did anything bad in terms of engine issue but just imagine if he hit something, the hotel would have fixed it but to me the car would never be the same. I have to question why the owner would allow a valet to park the car did he not ever see Ferriss Buhlers Day Off?
