Just ordered a 2011 and had a few questions

I have been reading on the site for a while, but this is my first post, so hi to everyone.
So, I just put in an order for a 2011 2SS/RS and we were going through the order book to see what had changed. Under standard equipment it no longer lists the brake cooling slots. We assumed it just wasn't listed since it is on all the vehciles?? And the onstar is now only 6 months instead of 1 year. Anyone know why that was cut back?
Also, can the order move to a 2000 code before pricing is released?
Thanks!

Hi and Welcome to the Forum (officially)!
Not sure what brake cooling slots are - the fake side vents? I have no such thing listed on my car's order sheet.

Sucks about OnStar - no idea why they limited it to 6 months...

Can't say about moving to 2000 before pricing is available. If you're getting the car no matter what, then just go with it, else, make sure your deposit is refundable in case you don't like the $$

I assume the Chevy site doesn't have the 2011 ordering in yet...

Good luck and keep us posted with your progress!

Oh, what color (outside & in)?

Welcome to the site. You may want to check your order status from time to time at this thread. To answer your question, your order can move regardless of pricing. Once it is placed, it will go to 2000 and then the rest will follow. Pricing is usually released just about the time the cars arrive. Good luck, you've made a good choice.

Is this guess for all trims? I'm trying to figure out how much HUD will add to the 2LT and 2SS.

I would trade the whole year of Onstar for HUD and cooling slots... although I can barely focus under power so I know I would never notice the HUD unless I had an incoming call

Yeah, my 2011 went to 2500 today also. So it's possible to change without the pricing being available.

Still not sure what these 'brake cooling slots' are that you mention tho...
