I remember a C5 member had the same problem, she bought Chemtool
treatment, added it to the gas and the problem went away.

I put it in. The icon went away minutes after it showed up yesterday. I put the cleaner in. Hope I never see it again. And now sitting at the dealership, contemplating whether i need to be here or not.

I would still use a treatment of techron or similar in your tank. If you do a little searching on P0300 codes you will find similar instances that this will reoccur.
Might want to invest in a PCV oil catchcan also to prevent any more oil vapor being sucked in. It really is worth the $100.

Just happened to me a month ago. Check your spark plugs and coils. I had a shorted spark plug.

How long did the icon stay in the dashboard?
