How old are you? If I recall you need to be 24 for a rental car company to allow you to rent a car.

Yea, its 25 for the camaro I think. and watch out on the "have grandma/mom" rent it. If you wreck it, you WILL NOT be covered.
They actually did a special on TV. It was 11:50pm on the day before the guys 25 birthday and they turned him away. He walked away, sat down in front of the rental booth and waited until midnight and walked back over and they rented him a car no problem. Its a liability... rules are rules... |

I was going to rent a Camaro to drive around in while visiting Las Vegas a few months ago and I couldnt find one either. You can rent a 69 Camaro but you cant get a 2010.

AVIS is weird. . . . they have Camaros in some locations but not others, they are all over the place in Florida, I don't know why they wouldn't rent them in Vegas . . . in the past they had them in Boston, but now they do not . . . maybe it is a winter thing?

I am going to Vegas in May, called about a Camaro, they have them at the airport. You have to be over 25. $120 a day, $100 if its on special. They won't book this far in advance. They were actually pretty rude about it.
I need a car for 3 days so I am not going to pay for 3 days at $120 a day plus all the rediculas taxes they charge. Hell, I'd pay more for three days to drive a car I have at home for more than my payment is per month... plus I could end up with a V6. Best case senerio is a V8 A6... Not gonna do that. I ended up with a 2010 Jeep Wrangler. I figured that would be fun with the top off. We are taking a day and going to Mojave so the jeep could be interesting! I guess there are a lot of dirt roads out there that require 4 wheel drive. |

They probably hold em for the high rollers who won't even question it. Anyone in Vegas should take something down to pawn stars n see if you can get on TV |

They were on the Avis website up until this year. You could reserve them at the Airport location. I was going to, then realized you had to be 25 (in 23). After that, my father was going to rent it for me and I just give him the money. So we get there and for the special class cars, you have to use an actual credit card, not a debit. He doesn't use them and doesn't have any so there went that idea. I don't think any of the luxury rentals, such as Dream Car Rentals, have them yet.
They may still rent them but not list on the website. I'm SOL either way, so I haven't even bothered calling. |
