You know what sucked. I was playing in a practice game with Wilson as the QB, I drive down the field, but throw an INT (my fault) right at the goal. First play, the practice QB scrambles for 70 yards on my #1 defense.

I'm sure there are cases like this for every team. I use Russell Wilson as an example though. I'd like him to be my starting QB. I feel that the mid-60 rating he has is low, especially after what he did in pre-season. So, prior to creating my league, I would like to make him have a rating more around 75-80, and fit better with what I saw of him in preseason.

Basically, now we have to take EA's stats, which may not actually reflect their play on the field.

As with EVERY other version of Madden, you could do whatever you want. Some people made 99 characters, others used it to customize and add friends, etc.

That's gone now...and like I said...it was a major upside to the game over the years.

They could easily provide a "hardcore" mode for those that just want to live with the EA stats. They didn't, and believe me when I say a LOT of people are complaining about the lack of ability to customize teams like they used to.

Yeah, what I said was the extreme case but I get what you're saying. In previous years you couldn't bring those online right? If so, I don't see why they changed it. Having those changes stay on your local gaming system who cares? I could see it get unfair if you could bring it online.

Granted they are REALLY pushing that "careers" mode this year so who knows.

Agree 100%!!! Even though he's old and probably getting senile now, that would probably make a better game

Exactly. I can see why they would put some kind of restriction in with an online career mode.

But, I tend to play non-career games online, and do the career mode solo. Especially since I could sim a whole year, or the preseason, etc.

Now, you can't sim more than a week at a time.

It's like they did a downgrade on Madden this year.

I havent ventured into franchise mode yet....

but have you tried editing the rosters FIRST and then going into franchise mode?

I know you can edit players/manage rosters/add players etc in "My madden"

Im assuming you should be able to adjust the rosters accordingly and then go into franchise with your saved rosters....

I bought it because I buy it every year. Not sure why because I hate football. I usually play it for a weekend and then it sits collecting dust until I trade it in sometime in February. But today I come in from the garage and found my two daughters, 13 and 11 playing it. They LOVE IT!! And they're pretty damn good at it.

this game is really terrible and its hard to see where they improved. its been gettin bad year after year but this is ridiculous. the tackles are hilarious. i try not to play it but i get tired of playing NCAA so much.
