Vinyl hood vandalism..

So i was at the Chicago auto show today and noticed some people wrote on the hood wrap i'm guessing with their nails or something and it left marks that would not come out.. I tried to get pictures but it didn't show up well in them.

How is this going to be handled if it happens to us out on the street? Will the INSURANCE (Not warranty) cover it? Does it need to be rewrapped?

Did this happen to your car? I would venture to say if it was vandalism the warranty would not apply ( Warranty is for factory defects), you would have to turn it in on your insurance.

Oh ok, I hate people that do crap like that. I have had ice cream cones dumped in my car while it was parked in front of my house with the windows down back in the 70's. Had Garbage dumped on my truck at a NASCAR race at Bristol in the 90's. Jealousy and hate is probably the main reason.

Yeah i figure if they're out there doing that they don't have the brain capacity to work a good enough job to afford one.

That sucks. The auto show has a ton of foot traffic though. People will steal the shifter knobs and anything else that can be unscrewed.

I had Raisin Canes sauce thrown all over the front of my car last night while I was in the grocery store. The grease would not come off! So instead of worrying how it looked and seeing all those water spots, I just decided to take off the vinyl wrap. There is a pic in my build thread... link below. Better pics tomorrow after a good wash.

While I was at NAIAS one of my co-workers wanted to sit in a Mercedes, but the rep there explained how they no longer keep the cars open because they get vandalized... people these days need a lesson in discipline and respect.

You can't be serious to think vandalism would be covered by a warranty. I guess you meant insurance.
