GM offer any kid of intern ship? some help here!!

hello friends , I want to to know if someone here know or can help me with something, back in Colombia my Girlfriend is about to finish Industrial Design, and she really love cars, in fact she is so passionate about every new car she see and she love to spend time in dealers just watching and taking notes, she is also a really Outstanding mechanic, (she can dissemble an engine by her own) and that love is shown in her Industrial Design career being the best grade average of the faculty(in one of the best Universities in Latin America) , this may sound like Im trying to sell her, but a person with this rare love for cars an mechanics is not common (specially for a young girl) she is close to finish and she need to find a place to do the internship, and due to her high grades she had received invitation from furniture companies but that's not what she like to do and we don't have Any Idea what is the next step to do, it and it would broke my heart to see her love for cars wasted designing wood chairs

They have internships but obviously they're pretty competitive.
