I did this last night on my brand new 1LE right after driving it to empty the tank for the first time (or nearly emptying it and I filled it with 91 Shell.)

First of all my car was running pretty strong from the get go and my dealer said he filled it up with premium when it was delivered. So I think my car may have already been using the high octane table. I detected little to no difference today and if anything my car now gets worse mileage but that's probably just me enjoying the heck out of the car. Just thought I would share and see what others think.

Run a tank or two through it with good gas then do it again for shits and giggles.

just did this fuse pull and the fuse pull for the NPP exhaust.

Feels like a different car... bless this site. I knew my dealer put low octane in it to begin with,.

Reading most of these posts. Ok maybe about 4 pages of posts. I see that this is best done if you let it sit about 3-10 hours?

Has anyone seen a difference with times less then 3 hours of resetting?

I'm guessing the fuse pull for NPP is so it stays open all the time?

Did under the hood pull last night. Going to try under the hood and the trunk tonight just to be safe. Will post when all is finished.

Should this be sticky'd in the tuning section too? I was looking for it there and could not find it... seems it's ECM tuning related.

When I take these fuses out of my 2010 2ss camaro, the car wouldn't start up. Should I let it sit longer? I tried to start the car up as soon as I pulled the fuses.

You have to put the fuses back in first.

oh

how long should I let the car sit before I can feel the difference ?
And is this some that is temporary or will I always feel the power difference ?

There's a bit of controversy over the time. Never done it myself. Generally overnight is considered best but others have reported a few hours worked.

In theory, if you run high octane fuel it should stay on the higher table forever but then there's the "learning down" and "false knock".
Either of these may cause another fuse pull to be needed.

I let my sit for only about 20 minutes, while stopping by for a very quick visit....
it worked for me. I use 91 octane.
