I plan on running the Texas Mile in March and the Silver State Classic. From what I've I'll be able to go over 200mph in 5th gear...still doing lots of research though before I make my decision.

So am I, my nine inch is at the shop right now, just got the car on the lift... Based on my redline and if the math was done correctly, I will be able to go 219 in 5th gear... And with mine and Josh's power, we can still launch the car for the quarter mile with that gear ratio, and not worry about spinning so much...and in my case, turbos love to be loaded, so I figure I'll load them and see what happens...

Manual or automatic and how you drive determine that decision... There are lots of cars running the stock diff with 600+ rwhp, mostly autos, but some manual cars... And they are holding up fine... Then there have been some stock axles on stock cars broken... The general consensus though is somewhere just north of 600 for manual cars and around 650 for auto cars... But some are driving stock doffs until they are forced to upgrade due to breakage...
