All three (installed options) have issues (ie: MyLink, Metra kit, Scorsche kit). Search the forum for numerous topics complaining about each one. Decide what features/options your want/need and then choose accordingly.

I could be wrong, but I don't believe the after market options will display on the DIC or HUD. And of course a removable unit (ie: Garmin, Tom Tom, etc.) won't display on the DIC or HUD either.

You are correct...aftermarket units will not display any of their information on the HUD or DIC....

On my 2014, navigation arrows are displayed in the HUD, along with distance until turn info and I believe the street name.

I have not put the DIC into the Navigation display to see if directional arrows appear when using My Link....I will try it out this weekend.
Tested the DIC this morning....when using MyLink navigation, in the Navigation mode, it will display turn arrows, street names and distance to turn in a constant display.

So there you have it...

I Retrofitted the MyLink (with Nav) into my 2010 Camaro 2LT/RS and DROPPED the POS OnStar Nav. The Navigation information shows up as stated both on the HUD and on the DIC Nav page. Shortly after doing the install I checked out all of the functions with regard to the MyLink. All of it works GREAT.

The built in navigation is really poor. I have the 2014 model and it is laggy and feels like something coming from early 2000's, but yeah - you will find your way if you know what address to go to.
