MPG
Okay with gas prices going the way they are here in SoCal (3.70/gal Supreme) I'm thinking of getting rid of my dream car (95 Supra TT). I'm currently averaging 13 to 18 mpg, but hey it's my dream car. However, I'm currently in a situation where money will either get better or tight. If things go worse I might have to off load the car and as a consolation I was thinking of a gen 5. After all my first car was a 69 Camaro. However if the gas millage isn't better why bother. I've read that officially the SS gets around 18 mpg. I'd like to know what the daily drivers of the car are seeing. (I did do a search, but got to many hits with no direct answers) Also coming off of a TT Supra I imagine a LT would be to depressing, so I'm leaning more toward the SS.

I average 18 in my daily driver (half city, half highway). I cruise it for the most part, but I like to get into it from time to time also......

I average 17.5 and easily get 25 on the freeway as long as I'm cruising around 70.

I average about 16. I try to keep her in 6th gear on the way to work. But having that power there I get into it every now and then...whenever a cheap Rustang wants to play.

Sup whitetiger! Fellow Supra Owner from suprafourms
Used to be on there all the time too, dont know if you remember me. Well the camaro gets great gas mileage on the freeway and then same as my supra around the city. Just dont drive with a lead foot and you will love it. Yeah dont get a LT because it will be down grading from the Sup. Have to get the SS. What made me change from supra to camaro was... i just wanted a new car because the supra was aging and felt old. Didnt want to spend all this money replacing all my old parts. (But the looks will never get old) |

Ya, I remember you, you were the one who fixed up my head lights. I was actually spending sometime with your Camaro 2 weeks ago at Competition GT. Actually why was it there? I thought your car was a test car for a turbo system? |

I average around 15mpg and that's with 80% city driving. I also have a lead foot. I've averaged around 22-23 on long HWY trips.
