Had to put her into the BODYSHOP.... :(

At the bodyshop for a few days and I can't wait...

Looks like they are putting your stripes on top of the factory paint.

My paint shop wants $1k to do it perfectly so that they wont be raised against the rest of the paint.

We're going with a flat clear and yes on top of the factory clear/paint.


For any other stripes they should be clearing the whole panel so it's not raised but I can't clear (flat) the whole panel so mine will be raised a bit.

I had mine painted on top of the existing paint. I believe they removed the clear from the entire hood and then did the painting. They then went over the entire hood with a new clear coat. You can not feel any raised area where the stripes are. I paid more than $1,000 to do the whole job. But I got two colors and the paint extended onto the front and over the spoiler.
I hope you like your as much as I like mine.

Wow they really did a sloppy job with the spoiler holes, or is that how they are supposed to be? Otherwise very nice
