how to trouble shoot a heads up display?

installed a heads up display in my 2011 camaro ls. used ofer's harness. stupidly i didn't do a test run before i closed everything up. there seems to be power to the hud controls but not the actual hud itself. it seemed fairly straight foward during the install and it's making me wonder if it might be a bad unit. anybody got any suggestions for troubleshooting without completely taking out the dash again?

much appreciated! thanks!

little bit of an update on this, as i've been driving around i've noticed that my pdim and the buttons to turn the traction control on and off don't have power either. i'm betting my cigarette lighter is out too. gonna check the fuses when i've got some spare time.
