So..... what? Is "announcement" Canadian for release? Just what does this tell us? In 11 days they start regular production; that's all I care about.

Is it a coincidence that it's April Fools Day? So what would be the difference between the Announcement date (4/1/09 according to the link) and Unveiling on May 6th?

It appears this is the official date of the MY (model year) for each car. The date each car starts selling to the public for the upcoming MY (IE...April 2010 would be the 2011 MY for the Camaro if it follows suit). This is not the official date of production.

Any date after January 1st first they can sell a car at the next year's model designation... My first Sky was a 2007 Model but I took delivery in March 2006. and of course it was built in February...

Read my lips- there will be NO incentives on this car. They've "sold" over 13,500 of them already. Supplier and employee pricing is already out (although apparently changing).

So you have confirmed official word that GM Flex Card earnings will NOT be accepted for the Camaro? Please share your source.

I see your disclaimer of "although apparently changing".

I've heard nothing official to back up that statement. I don't think GM is that stupid to not take the discount sales....they still make plenty of money from each.

They should put a footnote that there is a good waiting list.

I doubt there are going to be Camaro's sitting on any showroom in April.

That is NOT an incentive. Nor is GMS/GSU. Incentives are things like low cost financing (subsidized to help sales), "everyone gets employee pricing" campaigns, and factory to dealer incentives.

Maybe I should have clarified. When I said "out" I didn't mean as in "thrown out"; I meant available to see. "Changing" refers to the fact that an employee/supplier price on a car priced today shows up as costing more than the same car showed up at a month ago.
