So Close to 11's!!!!
Went to Beech Bend Raceway today. I guess today was the best DA i have ever raced in (506 feet above sea level). I was a little disappointed because i didn't dip into the high 11's, but it's still a new PB for me
Next time i go to the track i want to leave in the 11 second club. My mods are a CAI, Longtubes, Catback, 3.91's, 20' NTO5R's, and a Tune. I tuned the car myself with hptuners. Is there much room for improvement if i let someone with more experience take over the tuning? The car is trapping 114 mph pretty consistently. What are your thoughts? Left Lane

What size rear tires are you using with those 3.91's and what rpm are you crossing at?

That's awesome man! Good work man, 114 traps with boltons in a l99 is moving out for sure! I wouldn't trust anyone to touch your tune other tune Rhino79 cuz it seems you have done one hell of a job!

Thanks! But it's an ls3. That's why I feel like my traps are a little lower than they should be. Tires are 315/35's on 20' wheels. Crossing the traps in 4th but I didn't log any today. Left the laptop at the house I've thought about contacting Rhino but I wanted to see how far I could go on my own before I had the help of a professional lol.

Oh shifting, then don't compare to Tim.
You can play with leaving higher and shift points. Where do you shift now, I hear the LS3 cars can shift at 6400?

Raised limiter to 6500 and am shifting around 6300. Today I had mostly 1.7 60 foot times except for when I left a little too hard one run. Launching at around 5k and slipping the clutch. The time I spun I had a 1.9 leaving at the same rpm just slipping the clutch less.
I would like to get an alignment set to drag racing specs but there's not a real good alignment shop where I live. I may get with my old high school auto teacher and see if he'll let me use the school's new hunter alignment rack.

You might be a long time drag racer so forgive me in advance, but a 17" slick work better. I'm thinking I'm going to move to a slick next year unless I run good at my local track's slick/ drag radial only nights on Thursdays.

Oh no offense was/will be taken haha. I post on here for constructive criticism so don't worry about offending me. I'm just 21 years old so I'm sure there's plenty I can learn from you guys.
I would love to put 17' slicks and skinnies on my car. Those will be my next big purchase probably this winter though. If nothing else I would do it for the weight reduction.

Crap I thought you had a l99! My bad, no your traps are right in par for boltons man, that's good! He'll that's a awesome pass, don't expect much better man. You want solid 11s it's gonna take some 18s with a front runner at lest. That's a Great 60ft with a manual, my m6 gave me nothing but problems, until it trashed the throwout bearing.

Already had to put a slave cyl in mine for the same reason. Luckily it didn't hurt the fingers on the pressure plate!
Thanks for all of the kind words guys! I may hit the track one last time this year and see if I can get a little more out of the current setup. I guess it's time to start saving up for some 17's and skinnies! I may get a different cold air intake this winter also. I don't see a lot of people running the Hennessy. I wouldn't have bought it but since I got it for free off of a trade in at the dealership I couldn't pass it up haha.

Again great run but I think you should trap a little higher. Pump your fronts up to 55-60 to decrease rolling resistance. Ironically I didn't remember to do this the last time I was out when I went 12.06.

What pressure you running in your NTO5rs? I had mine to 14 and went up to 18, my best 60ft was at 14, but I still hooked at 18 and had my best pass.
